    Also, I have already written a tool to do this for myself, but it unfortunately doesn't work properly all the time...

    The sidebars on each of the compendium pages in D&D Beyond already have hyperlinks - if you click them and copy the URL, the link will direct the person that clicks it to the exact header/spot on the page.

    This is well and good, but if I want to share to a player who owns the hard copy of a book but doesn't use DnDBeyond, being able to quickly get where it can be found in a book would be immensely helpful.

    This is primarily why books are broken down into Chapters and Sub-sections within each chapter.

    These are the same in the hardback books and D&D Beyond, so you're safe telling your friend which section you're referring to.

    I agree Rich, this is primarily how I have been sharing it. However a quick reference button to copy the Chapter/Sub Section structure would be a much appreciated feature.

    Sure do wish page references got more upvotes.  Even a ballpark page number would be great to tell my players just to quickly get them within a page or two.  Apparently, there are only a few of us who own hardcopies and like to refer players to pages.
