DM's Guild Integration

I think the only way you could get ahead of this would be to create the homebrew and make yourself the author in DDB. Still, there is no pay wall for you to have to request people pay for your homebrew items. I'm pretty sure using someone else's content without their permission would get the item pulled. If you see something on the homebrew listing you can always flag it.

They are managed by two separate competing companies. It is unlikely that they will integrate them that tightly. That's before you get into the issue of licensing and compensating authors.

So are DMs Guild and Fantasy Grounds, but DMs Guild sells Fantasy Grounds content.

There isn't actually integration between the two. It's just that the file and content types that are permitted on the DM's Guild include content that can be used on Fantasy Grounds. That's because FG uses XML files and images zipped into a bundle stored locally (and sent peer-to-peer among users as necessary)

Nothing on the FG server talks to DM's Guild or vice-versa. That model doesn't work for D&D Beyond which doesn't have any peer-to-peer content transfer or permit sharing local data in that way.

An easy-to-implement API for publishers to DM’s Guild would be best here. Give publishers an easy tool to format their creations so they can publish (and monetize) with DnD Beyond.

I promise that integrating your library of content from the DM's Guild with D&D Beyond would be a nightmare. Even if it wasn't, the process of converting content into a workable format for D&D Beyond would be even worse.
