Add non-class spells to a character
Currently, it seems that spells are specifically tied into a character's class. However, there might be instances where via race or feat or simply DM preference, a character can be allowed access to spells outside of their class.
Is there any plan to allow more flexible spell tying to a character? Maybe allow a user to set up their own spell slots/limit and adjust them manually if there's no set class guidelines to go off of.

I just tested this but im pretty sure you can do this now using a feat
Megan Lyle - With a feat you can now give a player access to another classes spell list with the "SPELL CLASS" input. You may need to specify the "Ability Score" input to be the players spell casting ability (so it will calculate things that use it appropriately). Alternatively you can specify individual spells they can automatically have as extra (not choose) in a feat by Selecting a bunch of spells in one entry and checking "Is Infinite". That will allow the player to select all the spells you allow or you can specify each spell in individual entries and the player will have them all
Jerald Tolivar - If you use a feat and give your players a new or extra spell im not sure they would want to remove it?
Jordan Hitchristmas - I know its a pain but it can make sense story wise where that character is special and has this extra something (ie feat)
Stephanie Hunt - You can now do this via a feat, just add Moonbeam as a spell and make sure you set the "Ability Score" input to the spellcasting ability of your player so the DC is correct (Just Tested)
SPE825 - You can use a feat for this, just add each spell you want them to have as a separate entry. Or you can even get them to choose 1 out of X number by putting all the spells in one entry. Just remember to set the "Ability Score" input (Just Tested)
Nox Tripp - You're very true specifically for NPCs you are just wanting to whip up adding a feat is a hassle

This would be extremely helpful, as it would make it much easier to add spells instead of having to homebrew a spell that already exists simply to allow it for use with a different class. For example, my cleric has the Silverstar of Selune feat - as such, she should be able to have the spell Moonbeam. Since it is only for druids, though, I am unable to add it.

I have a related suggestion: https://dndbeyond.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360036842153-Ability-to-Fully-Customize-Class-Spell-Lists

Ian - Yes it is possible. Just create a custom feat and add the specific spell/s you want them to know all the time (on top of their typical known or prepared spells) and make sure you set the "Ability Score" input to the spellcasting ability of your player so the Attack bonus, DC or other details are correct.

I would love to be able to add spells without having to create a feat first. I think creating the feat is a great work around but you should be able to add or modify any part of the character sheet, especially if the Dm rewards you by giving you bonus things or spells that are not normally part of your race or class.

If we are meant to do this as a feat then can we get a generic feat called "Add Spell" or something with a dropdown of all the spells so that we don't have to do a homebrew feat for each spell? It could easily be left out of the the list of feats included in leveling up so there's no confusion to the player, but then be included in the interface when you go to add an extra feat on the character sheet.
