Yep, this is the fifth separate request for this. We really would to better if we could focus our votes and I may have been first to post it but Sampaighe Ts has the most votes so far. I really wish the moderators would merge them or something and combine the votes. Their are some minor differences and partial improvements across the posts which is why I would them to merge instead of deleting all the variants. Mostly though I just really want a notes overhaul to include a journal aka session notes, GM passable campaign notes, and a better ways to access and edit notes on the character sheet than the replacement pain that's edited out line and resets when you do anything else. Upvoted the request and Sampaige Ts message.

They need to have a tag option. I searched and searched for this idea before posting but because you can’t label post with tags it makes replications inevitable. I’m happy to do the work of merging ideas onto one. Mine only had the most votes because I made it mandatory for the people in my campaign, and I can send them a different link if preferred.

Hay, as long as we get the upgrade I am a happy man. I sent the requests to my groups as well but It was not mandatory, lol. This is the second time this has happened to me so I am seeing the trend. The first time I was requesting a container system and the very next request after mine by like 6 hours was "containers", some how his post is at 58 votes and mine at 34. I would delete mine as a duplicate but I tend to go into the details of what I want and he said for example, "I'd like to organize my equipment into containers." which doesn't talk about encumbrance, DM stores, buildings, mules, bags of hold, coin purses, party shared inventory and coins possibly on the campaign page ..etc. So If you are willing to combine add the ideas even from just my post, I would gladly delete mine to clean up the requests a little. That's kind of what I was hoping for with my log post on another "notes overhaul" request. I tried putting it on all 4 of the request prior this one to raise awareness but apparently they got flagged for duplicate post or something and are stuck in "Pending Approval" so that attempt is not working out so far.

ugg that is so frustrating! I'm really sorry.

I tried looking for your post but your profile is set to private so I can't access your posts. What is the title and I can search it that way, or if you want to email it to me that's fine too. I'll also add to my post and say please post your related ideas in the comments and I'll add it to the post. Maybe that will help.

I looked to make my account public but where it says private, I can't change it to public. One would think its a button. hmmm...

Anyway here is my notes post and here is my inventory management post just because. lol.

Vrailful  posted a request for a Campaign notes tab for house rules (or general campaign notes for example we use variant encumbrance, we allow the Critical role Blood Hunter class, no Half orcs, Duragar, Drow, or Tiefling player characters, we use investigation for traps and perception for patrols etc.) and homebrew rules (and pre approved options). I would perhaps suggest this as a second tab to the Session notes / Journal, then expand that with a third tab for Setting information with people and places, then expand that again with a fourth tab for campaign lore.

Ben Morrier posted requesting GM sharable notes, which I also recommended but I would add to that it could be a 5th campaign tab "GM Hand outs" with a drop down on each hand out with hidden or show to players with the ability to select which ones who can see it for image/notes the GM wants to keep hidden then give to one player or the group at specific moment for better storytelling. Also, the GM would have access to edit the other 4 tabs to add notes all players can see.

I also posted about role permissions which has some crossover with notes with the scribe role having edit permissions to Session notes / Journal, people&places, and campaign lore so that if the GM adds something on the fly the scribe can add it for the party. Perhaps the GM wants to do that and only gives the scribe session notes.

    Campaign Page Notes Tabs:

    1. Setting Rules (House and Variant, GM controlled)

    2. Campaign Lore (GM controlled)

    3. Campaign Setting (People and Places, GM controlled)

    4. GM Inventory (Aka NPC stores and passable loot, GM controlled)

    5. GM Hand outs (GM controlled)

    6. Session Journal (Scribe controlled)

    7. Task Board (Leader's "Quest Log" and Story Hook Reminders, visible to all but Leader controlled)

    8. Party Inventories (Non-character inventories cart / mule/ bag of holding / Party Keep / Hidden Camp etc, Quartermaster controlled)

    9. Party Coins and Gems (Valuable Art per DMG and other sell/trade only items, Party Treasurer controlled)

... I mean I guess this is also "Campaign Page Upgrade"

    Hey all,

Apologies for the repeat suggestion. I did search before posting and didn't come up with any meaningful results; not sure if maybe the search function for this site needs to be improved as well? I went ahead and voted for the others that have been mentioned here as well. I'm not looking for credit here, just in the same boat of wanting something along these lines to be available. Thanks for all your efforts!

Not a problem, the titles don't share the same key words despite the similarity in ideas and this isn't the only duplicated request inventories and concentration tracking at the very least are also suffer from the same thing. I deleted my request since Sampaige Ts has transferred everything I wanted to his which just makes mine a duplicate with fewer votes.

I have deleted my own "campaign notes" request to avoid repetitions. But yes, a place for DMs to share campaign notes, recaps, house rules, or any other notes that are relevant for the players.
