Rearrange the Character Builder steps
As my players and I started to use the character builder to create the player characters for our campaign, we found one part of the arrangement of the building steps very odd.
A more logical order would be to put the "Class" section after the "Description" section. This would prevent players from choosing proficiencies twice as they could see, which proficiency their character already gained from his or her race and/or background.
It's just a small request, but it was a little bit confusing for some of my players.

Also for building higher level characters for one shots or to enter a campaign midway through, it's tricky to know what ASI you need if you haven't done the abilities yet. The process for building characters that's described in the PHB has ability scores coming before the class, I believe.

I know the builder follows the PHB chapters, but it is an odd order for character building, especially since you need ability scores before choosing class (because of prerequisites), and backgrounds offer skills that could potentially negate ones you've selected before if you follow the current order.
I second Draco for the order.
