We're nearly into the futuristic year of 2020. There are multitudinous platforms and services that provide exactly this utility. As one with a modicum of experience in sourcing this type of service, I can attest that it's not >2 years worth of difficult to get sorted. It's clearly a desired feature at which users would like to throw money. As a primed and ready revenue stream (especially this time of year), I can't fathom why DDB hasn't prioritized this.

Was hoping this would be sorted so I could ask Kris Kringle for D&D Beyond fun. It's a pity it's not available. :-(

Updating my wish list - sad that I can't add this yet.

I’d love to be able to sprinkle books and bundles to various people who use the site as gifts. Similar to the OP, I’m about to go drop money on an alternative gift because I can’t do this. I suspect not too many people are going to upvote this because they probably feel like if you wanted their money, you’d add this feature on your own. But I believe in you. :-)

I'm sure there are some hurdles to jump over, but my groups have been mostly transitioned to virtual and I love the convenience of having all the books electronically in the format that D&D Beyond provides. My players have been asking how they can contribute to the game and the options they have access to while playing the games and managing their characters (e.g. having access to all the different 3rd level class options), and gift cards to D&D Beyond would be a great option.

We are in the futuristic year of 2020, with the pandemic (or covid-19 as some people dare call it) raging around, I am sure there are a lot of people that would love to receive the gift of easy online D&D

The gifting system is a step in the right direction, but it still doesn't meet certain needs vs a regular gift card:

    1. If a bundle was purchased by the recipient, then they normally receive a discount for new books that would be part of that bundle. Since this is not taken into account, the one buying the gift is overpaying

    2. The person gifting has to order specific items, meaning in many cases the one receiving the gift will need to tell them exactly what they want.

I planned on asking for DNDBeyond gift cards for Christmas this year, but I am unable to for the reasons above.

Thank you so much for listening and getting something out there. The current gifting feature undoubtedly meets many peoples' needs, just not mine and others like me. I'm just posting this to say there's still more that can be done.

Why is this still a thing??? It's *so easy* to implement.
