Currently to see your animal companion stats, skill, and actions you have to go into your companion tab and then open the monster sheet, and even then the actions there aren't adjusted by external factors like Ranger Companion which change attack rolls and damage rolls for those actions and skill rolls for the companion. 

You also aren't able to manually add the actions using the Custom Action feature because the new action uses the character stats rather than companion stats

When will Ranger stop receiving the short end of the stick?

  This feature would also be applicable to the Artificer Steel Defender. These are major parts of the subclass and having them not included on the character sheet is cumbersome.

  This would be good for spellcaster familiars as well.  In one of the games I'm currently playing in, my wizard's familiar has essentially become the party scout.

  This would be super helpful, especially for new players that can get easily confused by having some of their actions essentially missing from the actions tab

  Bump

  I can't even properly create a beast companion custom action because the custom action menu doesn't support custom bonuses / bonus overrides.

  Meanwhile backpacks have been introduced... I CAN'T EVEN PLAY A CORE SUBCLASS WITHOUT EGREGOUS BOOKKEEPING
