So I've seen a lot of posts asking for DM tools. and most of which would be awesome and i would really like all of them to be made. like the rollable tables.
but there is one i haven't seen yet. a price generator
ive got 2 examples
Dm inputs size/quality of town/city. then the same for the inn/restaurant. then the food/drink. the adjuster would then give a few prices. the first being a standard price based off of that information. and then other prices based off of either discounts or upset sellers. such as this plate of food may cost 10 silver normally but they passed a great persuasion check since they are return customers and got a discount. or they insulted the bartenders wife so now the cost is 12 silver.
the players want to get several items enchanted and purchase others all at the same time. so the generator would look up the cost of the enchantments. add them up with the costs of all the other items. +/- for the same settings i listed in ex1 also add increase or decreases based off of how rare things are (selected by the DM) such as maybe they are in a country where magic is super common so enchanting is easy, or maybe they are in a legendary smithy and even though its only a small enchantment its being done by a super famous smith. etc etc.
so over all a price generator that can give prices with adjustments.
another reason this could help other than help dm's come up with prices amid all of these variables, is to give it a repeatable standard. how many times did a DM have to come up with a random price off the top of their heads based off the situation and then not remember it several sessions later. or have an inconsistency where they charged different amounts in similar situation.
