[Homebrew] Add a Conditional box to modifiers
Various abilities from races, items etc. add modifiers that grant conditional effects.
For example, a Drow's Sunlight Sensitivity gives disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks if the player or target are in direct sunlight.
While D&D Beyond currently shows this disadvantage on the character sheet, there is no visual indication that this disadvantage only applies in certain cases. To be reminded of this you must click the skill to open the sidebar, then look under the advantage/disadvantage section to see the list of modifiers and their cause.
This issue is worse with other modifiers, for example advantage on a saving throw, currently appears as if it were a permanent bonus in all cases, and the popout provides no easy way to find out what is granting it or how and when exactly it applies. Modifiers that add or subtract from a skill's modifier give no indication they've been modified at all, and no quick way to see any conditions that may apply.
I would like to propose that a new UI element be added to modifiers, probably in the form of a checkbox and text field combo, allowing a homebrew creator to indicate that a modifier is conditional, and then provide any further details in the textbox. For example, Sunlight Sensitivity would be marked conditional with a note of "in direct sunlight".
Wherever possible on the character sheet, an icon should appear for anything that has one or more conditional effects. Hovering over or tapping this should then show each item/trait and its conditional note for quick reference. This same list should also be provided on any relevant popout (in the example it would be for Perception).
