When I’m not DMing myself I often play in one shots. These sessions often demand characters of different levels, and I find that I have to create new versions of my favorite characters for every adventure. It would be nice if each character on dndBeyond had a level slider that would allow you to predefine your character for different levels in order to be able to allow a faster “recovery” of the character at a different point in its lifetime.
The feature could be used as a tool to “pre-level” your character, to allow faster level up procedures - potentially making level ups during sessions easier.
The feature could be used to down-level your character for a one shot, thus allowing you and your DM to better gauge what would constitute a balanced amount of gold or magic items for a character for a certain level (assuming the character has leveled up through some campaign setting).
The feature could potentially be used to store different iterations of a character, focusing on different aspects based on level.
Primarily, the feature could save lots of time both before and during sessions, by making the character planning easier for both players and DMs.
