Tool Proficiency Level Bonus

I would like to be able to see what level of proficiency a character would have in particular tool or instrument. Currently, if a rogue has expertise level proficiency in Thieves' Tools, you cannot see this on the character sheet page for tool proficiencies. I like to award PCs items that give bonuses to tool skill checks and currently, there is no way to notate these bonuses on their sheets without creating a custom skill, which is unaffected by equipping or attuning to a magic item that would cause an increase. Even the ability to hover over the tool proficiency and see the level of proficiency would be helpful.
