Homebrew item modifier glossary

Many of the modifier types and subtypes are extremely ambiguous.  It would be nice to have an explanation as to what homebrew item modifiers actually do, ideally within the creations tab on the DDB main site or somehow integrated into the tooltips within the modifier interface, but anywhere that's clearly labeled.  I'm not asking for a full tutorial on each type/subtype, but some brief explanation on its intended use and the numbers with which they're intended to work would be amazing.
